Hi, I’m Emily

I’m the owner and creator of Pins and Beetles.

The materials for each piece are ethically sourced from small businesses across the US and Canada focused on conservation efforts.

My process:

Firstly, I kiss every bug on the forehead. I then start by rehydrating and pinning each specimen. Once dried and spread, insects are either pinned for shadowboxes or soaked in UV resin to coat the insects before metal pieces are attached to create the finished jewelry product.

I package all orders myself, prioritizing materials purchased secondhand to minimize waste.
